What an awesome read this book is. I liked how the time line of the story was back in the day. I also liked how it made the dog real and a very important character in the book. At first from the cover of the book, I thought it was going to be all about the dog. But it wasn’t just about the dog; it was about life and death. What an amazing young girl, who lost her mother at such a young age and had to assume the mother’s role but still wanted to be a child. Excellent book!!! A must read for all ages!!
