I like to think our library system has something for everyone. Here’s a sampling of what we offer writers.
To get started: Check out Anne Lamott’s book “Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life.” “Show & Tell 6: Writers on Writing” offers advice from a variety of authors. Or register for one of our upcoming poetry workshops.
To stay on track: Settle in at one of our work tables. You’ll find conveniently placed electrical outlets near (or even built-in) to the table for your laptop use. You may also want to grab a copy of “The Elements of Style” for reference.
Once you’ve finished: Don’t forget to save! We sell flash drives at the check-out desk for $5.
When you’re ready to publish: Peruse the listings in “The Writer’s Market.” You can also find contests and guidelines in “Poets and Writers Magazine.”

Wow, I want one of those cheap flash drives! Or a few! I lost my flash drive last week.
Stop by the library and pick up a few! They even have our DBRL logo on them, so they are not only functional, they are also fashionable! Well, at least we think so. Thanks so much for your comment!
Thank you. You have ‘ONE COOL LIBRARY’.
Enjoyed your post. Your library sounds great. I hope I get to visit it sometime.
What a lively and easy-to-navigate site! And, yes, I do want to attend Harvard in my pj’s ~ Thanks for the info
