This book told of a Chinese mother who disciplined her two daughters so differently from an American mother. She insisted on her daughters using all their time valuably by practicing their violins and piano for hours every day, and they had to make excellent marks in school. Everything had to be perfect. The older daughter ended up rebelling and finally doing her own thing. Very enjoyable book.
