Reader Review: The Good Life for Less

Editor’s note: This review was submitted by a library patron during the 2013 Adult Summer Reading program. We will continue to periodically share some of these reviews throughout the year. Thanks to all who participated!

goodlifeforlessThe Good Life for Less” is written by the blogger Amy Allen Clark of MomAdvice.com.  It describes a pretty basic and simple way to live frugally and on a budget. The book does, however, also have some recipes that sound pretty good. I haven’t tried any of them but plan to in the future. The reason that I rated this 4 stars instead of 3 is because even though it is basic, the book is pretty motivating and inspirational to me. If you are looking for a basic book about living frugally and one that is written from the heart by someone who really lives it, this is for you. It is a very fast read for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time.

Three words that describe this book: inspirational, charming, thoughtful.

You might want to pick this book up if: You are a newly married person or if you are a new mother trying to live on a budget.
